I was making something like the glitter birds. I thought it would be fun to experiment with the shapes a little. They've been drying for days, and tonight I added some touches of white glitter to my freehand designs. I asked the HG to put the tray up out of reach. She took it from me and then complimented me.
"That's a lovely hat," she said. "Oooh, and the angel is really cute, too."
I stared coldly at her. "There are no hats or angels on this tray," I said.
"Are you sure?" she asked. "This one right here looks just like a hat."
I looked at it and grudgingly admitted that it did look something like a hat. But she was looking at it upside down. I turned the tray around so she was looking at it from the proper angle. "There." I said. "Look at it from this angle and what do you see?"
She looked puzzled, "A bunny?" she asked, with some hesitation. Not enough hesitation or she would not have asked at all.
"It is not a bunny. Neither is it a hat or an angel. It is a teacup," I declared with dignity.
"Hah. A Mad Hatter's Teacup," she said.
I admitted that it was perhaps a whimsical teacup, but it was a still a teacup.
"Whimsical?!" scoffed Equuschick. "You'd have to be feeling pretty whimsical to try to drink from that. It'd be pretty messy. So what about the angel, what's that?"
Jenny Any Dots walked in at thtat moment, glanced at the Christmas ornament Equuschick was pointing to and said, "Oooh, I like that Hampshire Pig, it's cute."
For a moment I determined to leave her all my wealth when I died, because it was indeed a Hampshire pig (well, to be honest it was a pig with a white ribbon around its waist, but if Jenny tells me it is a Hampshire pig, than a Hampshire it is)- before I could rewrite the will she destroyed it all and said, "But that angel sure looks funny."
There is no angel. It's meant to be another pig- not a hampshire, just a plain, ordinary little country pig. I am so misunderstood.
So, when are you posting photos so the rest of us can participate in this Rorschach test, too? :)
