A cute story from a lady at our library

We watched this movie last year and liked it (it does have language, but our TVG catches it), so we checked it out again for Christmas this year.

When we were checking the movie out, the librarian told us that "A Christmas Story" was her husband's favorite movie, so last year for Christmas she bought him a "Red Rider" BB gun (this is what the little boy wants and gets for Christmas), hid it behind the tree and saved it for the last present just like in the movie.

I thought that that was sweet. :)
I wonder, though, how much a "Red Rider" BB gun costs?

  1. This is my all-time favorite Christmas movie. It reminds me so much of my childhood in small New England towns.

I didn't lick the flag pole, but I did lick the doorknob when I was four. And, yes, my mother overdressed me to the point that, if, heaven forbid, I ever did fall down, it was very difficult to get back up. A special rolling technique was involved. By the time I was dressed for recess, the other students were coming back in. *sigh*

Even the classroom scenes ring true for me because I usually attended parochial schools that were built long before my time. We watch this every year. Enjoy! Frrrahzheelay! :o)

I don't know! But you better be careful you don't shoot your eye out! :)

  3. Because we know our First Year Girl, last year when we watched this we told her that if she went out and stuck her tongue on anything metal we would all just laugh at her, and nobody would feel sorry at all.

    The next day....
