It's lovely handwork. My parents have one in honor of their marriage. I used to examine is closely for long periods of time as a child but I am pretty sure it is not a skill I will ever have.

Okay, not the really complicated pieces- but there are some very nice things we were able to do last winter thanks to some good library books, a copier, and a printer.=)
Athena, I know what you mean. Can we say that to our uneducated and perhaps common ears, some languages sound like nothing so much as angry spitting?
Or maybe the question is, why do some English swear words sound so much like lovely German crafts??
