We saw "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe!!!!" I liked it on the whole, but there were a LOT of things I didn't like.
SPOILER ALERT!
I liked how all the children looked, but I really didn't like how the Witch looked. I didn't think she was beautiful, and I didn't like her hair, and they moved over the first scene with her and Edmund far too quickly.
Another thing I didn't like was the stone table. It didn't look right. And they didn't have the "deeper magic before the dawn of time." Instead it was the true meaning of sacrifice, and if the witch had known that, she would have understood the writing on the table better. *gag*
END OF SPOILER ALERT!
I ABSOLUTELY loved the music! I want the soundtrack SO bad! There were several things I liked; the battle scene, and when Aslan was killed was pretty good- well, sad, but it was filmed well.
Mr. Tumnus was really good. I liked him, and his lullaby was beeeeeeyooooootiful.
Yes... When they said "Jadis, Queen of Narnia, Empress of the Lone Islands" In my head I was adding "Supreme user of too much hair gel..." I thought the movie was beautiful. The children were perfect... but I have some issues which I shall dissect on my own site... Glad you got to see it today!!
ReplyDeleteWell, okay, the White Witch had a thing for hairspray or hair gel. But I do think she was beautiful as well as formidable. I like strong women. Tilda (?) was perfectly cast-- you can't fake cheekbones like that, and her confident (albeit evil) gaze was appropriately turbocharged.
