The Turtle

He doesn't have a name yet, and his underside is brilliant orange. Read more about him here. He's so tiny, and cute!

Wow, that IS cute! Did you find him, or buy him?

We have lots and lots of little lizards about that size.

Ah, never mind. The hazards of reading your weblog newest-to-oldest just became apparent. :)

Our Boy wants to know if that is Your Boy holding the turtle? If it is, he thinks he must be one of the luckiest boys alive ;-)

Oh, and the no-word-verification thing? I love you. I really do.

No, actually, I am holding the turtle in this picture. FYB probably held the turtle earlier in the day, though.

I'm glad you're happy about it- I like it better, too. Now if I could just get my email to stop making me go through it.

Well, Pip- then Our Boy thinks you must be the luckiest *girl* alive. He's wanted a turtle since he was about a year and a half old ;-)

HM, I have our email set to recognize my computer- could you do the same?

We had two little turtles that size (Red-Earred Sliders). In two years, they grew to the size of dinner plates. Perhaps we over-fed them? ;) When they grew too large for our tank, we arranged for them to retire to a man-made, backyard pond. Our children named them Robin Hood and Little John but it turned out they were females.

My wife and I had a turtle we named Petra (Peter) because she appeared to walk on water and then take a dive.
