October 5, 1961- no entry
[I think that's what she brought. L is R's wife, of course. It's interesting- R's sister (my great-aunt) married L's brother and they lived in New Jersey). In my husband's family, his great-grandmother also married the sibling of a sibling's spouse- in their case two sisters married two half-brothers.
October 6th, Thursday
Worked around. Had company- Mrs. Meadows called. Brot me grape jelly.
October 6th, Friday (1961)
R's came after school [R was her youngest son, his three children were probably in high school and junior high about this time, and they lived a couple hours away].
Had a good supper. L brot ham.
Mrs. Tyler brot the birthday cake for M and D (a grand-daughter and young grandson). Some cake.
Two or three days of blank entries, and then a double birthday party. Maybe she was resting up.
