Banana-Split Cake

1 12 ounce bag vanilla wafers
3/4 cup melted margarine or butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup softened margarine
5 sliced bananas
1 20 ounce can crushed pineapple, drained
1 large carton whipped topping
1 cup chopped nuts
Maraschino cherry halves

Crush vanilla wafers and combine with melted margarine. Press into 13X9X2 inch pan. Combine powdered sguar and butter and spread over crumb crust. Layer other ingredients as follows; sliced bananas, crushed pineapple, whipped topping, chopped nuts. Garnish with maraschino cherry halves. Cut into 20 party sized servings.
