From the FYB, as though you needed to be told.
Our family was having a student dinner for our church and our sister-in-law (Strider's sister) and our cousins in-law (Strider's cousins) were coming over .We were going to play killer bunnies (it’s a card game), I had a reasonable sized fort made from stuff around the house, my sister in law and a friend went inside it, then they started sprouting ideas about building a fort, so I took down the first fort, then we started. Me, my sister Pip, and my sister-in-law.
It probably took about hour and a half, when it was done it was huge; it took up OVER half the Common Room- the room not the web site. My dad called it 'The castle in the castle.’ It has a bedroom with a bed, a living room, a common room , a dining room, it also has three doors and lights.
DHM: It really was amazing- they used several sheets and blankets, safety pins, hung things over the bookcases, propped them up with poles- it was quite elaborate, and the FYG had to crawl through to reach her bedroom.
I think it's really, really lovely that the FYB considers Strider's sister and cousins to be his sister in law and cousins in law. To be honest, Shasta remains his favorite brother-in-law at the moment, but he really does love the extra family Strider brings to us.
