Remember Gerald Walpin?

Americorps Inspector General, caught an Obama supporter stealing 400,000 in Fed funds (Kevin Johnson, Sacramento mayor). He Johnson had to pay it back, but the IG also wanted him banned from further access to those funds (standard procedure), and Obama fired him, illegally, then tried to smear him as a senile old man. Walpin has been cleared, and he wants his old job back, and it's going to court.

This was a naked power play by the President, one which the media kindly ignored for him, for the most part. But that was several months ago. The gilt has been flaking off their golden boy a little. Maybe some of them are willing to try some honest reporting for a change. Time will tell.
