Kind of like an air guitar, only with a toddler in your arms instead of the air. Said toddler may or may not be right side up.
A couple days ago the Dread Pirate Grasshopper, age 2, indignantly rejected my attempt to play Tummy Guitar with him, insisting, "I not have a guitar. I a violin!"
So we played Mozart concertos instead.

I LOVE it! :)
ReplyDeleteWe do that! And sometimes it's a baby piano (tickle the tummy) or a baby harmonica (blow on the tummy). The harmonica is my favorite. :0)
ReplyDeleteNow that many of your little ones are in their late teens or grown, with kids of their own, this practice must be getting a little awkward.
ReplyDeleteIn my family, the tradition is to play piano--usually Beethoven's Fifth.
