Watermelon Shark

This was the Dread Pirate Grasshopper's 'birthday cake.'

Slice a bit off the bottom so it stands flat and even.
Cut two straight lines on a diagonal, meeting in the middle to take out a large wedge for the mouth.
Scoop out the watermelon.
Cut the teeth.
Use a vegetable peeler to scrape out a round circle for eyes.
Attach a grape in each eye space using a toothpick to hold.
Fill hollow with fruit, including the watermelon you pulled out.

  2. That is such a great idea! It is nearly summer here and I really want to try this for my daughter's birthday. Your shark looks brilliant!

    Best wishes,
    Natasha.
