Act 1- Scene 1- Our kitchen
The downfall of the FYG, and the triumph of Jennyanydots
(no one was harmed in the course of this event) :)
ENTER- Jennyanydots and FYG
FYG. O, we have chocolate milk!
JAD. Um, I'm pretty sure that it's bad; you probably don't want to try it...
(FYG calmly takes a sip of her drink)
FYG. It tastes fine, so there.
JAD. Well, you can't blame me if you suddenly fall down dead because of bad milk; I warned you.
FYG. This is really good milk, I like--
(FYG runs to the sink and spits out her mouthful milk. Loud coughing noises are heard; and also a sarcastic giggle from JAD)
JAD. I told you so :)
end of scene 1

I love that kind of ending!!
Some of our readers may be interested to know the family discussion around this post. HG wanted the DHM to approve it first, because she wasn't sure we wanted the entire world to know that sometimes we have spoiled milk in the fridge. I told her I didn't care who knew that we had milk go bad in the fridge, I was humiliated for the world to know that we had chocolate milk in the fridge.
ReplyDeleteEquuschick reasonably pointed out that when the lord and master of the home manages a grocery store, sometimes he brings home groceries the family would not ordinarily buy- after all, if it wasn't in our fridge, it would be poured down the sink (this container just got pushed to the back and the Progreny forgot about it).
The DHM said that it might be free, but it was still unhealthy.
The HG said she loved having free chocolate milk, and she wished she'd not forgotten it was in the fridge.
The DHM drew herself up and said, "It's not healthy, and I never drink it."
At which point the Equuschick observed to the room at large, "No, she drinks Coke."
And certain people who shall be un-named snorted their dinners out of their noses. Most unedifying. Shame on Equuschick.:P
Couldn't anyone find some moldy cookies for FYG? You know, to go with the bad milk.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I was a bit shocked to hear ya'll are a perfectly normal family. I tend to forget that as I admire ya'll so much.
Normal? NORMAL? Oh, no, I assure you. We are much worse than that.
