News- The UN and Islamification

Little Green Footballs has interesting posts (but the comments sections isn't usually very edifying, just so you know), but a lot of people don't like Charles Johnson, the host of the site. They claim he's racist, largely because he reports stories like these:
Here's a recent post about appeasement in Europe:
The Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten recently published cartoons of Mohammed, and Danish Muslims went crazy, rioting and threatening the newspaper.

Now Fjordman translates an outrageous example of UN appeasement, that has to be read to be believed. The UN is Appeasing Muslims - Again.

UN Concerned over Prophet Cartoons

by Ole Damkjaer
" ...the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour has involved herself in the discussion.... saying in plain words that she is concerned over the drawings... expressing “apologies” for statements and actions demonstrating a lack of respect for the religion of other people. In a letter to the 56 member countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), she states: “I understand your concerns and would like to emphasize that I regret any statement or act that could express a lack of respect for the religion of others”. ... the 56 Islamic governments have asked Louise Arbour to raise the matter with the Danish government “to help contain this encroachment on Islam, so the situation won’t get out of control.” Two UN experts, on religous freedom and on racism and xenophobia, are said to be working on the case. The Islamic governments have expressed satisfaction with the reply from Louise Arbour."

And this one titled "Un Hits Absolute Bottom, Digs:"
On November 29, 2005, the United Nations held their annual “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.” Featured at this event, attended by Kofi Annan, was a prominent display with the Palestinian flag on one side, the UN flag on the other, and a large map of “Palestine” on which the UN member state of Israel did not appear.

This is the sort of things you really have to see to believe. Fortunately, Eye on the UN has the photos and commentary:
"The map was prominently displayed by the UN on November 29, 2005 at a public gathering at UN Headquarters, in the presence of all top three UN officials, the Secretary General, and the Presidents of the UN Security Council and the General Assembly. It purports to be a "map of Palestine." Israel, a UN member state for 56 years, is not on the map. Even the UN General Assembly partition lines of November 29, 1947 marking a Jewish and Arab state, which pre-date this 1948 map, do not appear"

Scroll down that Eye on the UN page to see the photograph of dignitaries like Andrey Denisov (President of the UN Security Council ), Jan Eliasson (President of the UN General Assembly ), and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, (and two others) standing "at the outset of the November 29th UN meeting with these words from the Chair. "I invite everyone present to rise and observe a minute of silence in memory of all those who have given their lives for the cause of the Palestinian people and the return of peace between Israel and Palestine" in what EOUN calls 'a moment which has been crafted to include the commemoration of suicide bombers.'

If you've not already bookmarked Eye on the UN, you should.
