Vocabu-Airily Yours

Our friends at The Beehive (who have been nominated for Best Homeschooling Family Blog and they richly deserve it) have been running a delightful contest.

They have a list of 'juicy new words' their 'wacky and verbose friends' have been making up of late, and they ask their friends 'to attempt some sort of poetical ditty using alllll those doozies.' You should go see. The Head-Girl gave it a whirl, as did the brilliant Tim of Rusticanda.

I am not that creative, but I made them a present of the FYB's latest new word- which he coined even as I was reading their post,. I thought perhaps they might use it in some future contest.

The boy strolled through the room doing a sort of rhomba dance, saying "Tannabahahboot! Tannabahahboot!" (Pronounced roughly: Tanna-bah-ah-Boot).

I asked him what his new word meant and when one would use it. He said he did not know what it meant, but that one would use it "Thursdays, at 6:00 sharp."
