Weblog Awards, More

Wizbang has tallied the nominations and it's now time to vote for finalists in each cateogry (nope, we're not finalists, but a big thank-you to both our readers who nominated us!).
This is not always family friendly- parents need to preview. However, this is an excellent way to find some new political, international, and technology blogs, IMO.

And, of course, Spunky is still taking nominations for the homeschooling blogs, and we should not be adverse to more of our readers nominating us for, oh, Best Family Blog or maybe Current Events.

I'm not trying to bribe anybody or anything, but as a thank-you should we make the finalists, I'll post a pic of two of the Progeny in one of the most gratuitously cute toddler photos you have ever seen in your life.

IF we win a category, I thought about offering to replace the picture of the back of my head (in my profile) with one of my face, but that might actually be perceived as a threat rather than a bribe er, thank-you gesture. Hmmm. :-)

Seriously, while we would enjoy winning, we enjoy even more another opportunity to discover blogs previously unknown to us- be sure to check out the nominations already posted thus far and you'll see plenty of good ones.

P.S. For those who need to save time, we offer the following information suitable for cutting and pasting, just in case. NO particular reason- just, you know, in case you wanted it for something: heartkeepercommonroom.blogspot.com

Updated Postscript for The Progeny: It's okay to vote for ourselves, but it would be really thoughtful if you nominated some other blogs for the other categories, too. To adapt the immortal words of Mr. Bennet, "...let the other young blogs have time to exhibit."

  3. IT's really okay, MBR. We couldn't have lost to any nicer people, and that really does make it seem okay.=)

I wasn't exaggerating in the least either when I said what a thrill it was just to be nominated, let alone make it into the finalists. I don't think I could have been any happier about it even if we had won.
