Technology: It's a beautiful Thing

Or would be if it were in my hands. Envy, on the other hand...

I've helped to get a handful of books or vintage magazine articles online as etext so more people could use them. I'd like to do more. This nifty little scanner would make that easier to do:

Features:
Battery Operated for Full Portability Purposes.
Can Store 100's Pages into Memory
Scan a Full Page Width Including Text & Graphics in as little as 4 seconds
Scansoft PaperPort SE-PC Software Included OCR Capability

It's the size of a pen. And I, um, need it for such noble reasons, don't you think?

I am struggling with a certain lack of contentment right now. This might be as good a place as any to mention some words of wisdom I once read in this book. The author pointed out that from a distance you can't tell the difference between 'struggling with' and 'embracing.'

Sometimes you can't tell from close up, either.
