Busy bakers

Jenny made these sinfully decadent Butterscotch bars and Hello Dollies
Pip made this delicious Serbian Potatoes and Beef- this really hit the spot.
Friday night before bed I got started on some Home-made yogurt in the works

I also went ahead and spent the rest of the grocery money I had saved up from before unemployment. I stocked up on cheese.  It was .99 for an 8 ounce block of cheddar, muenster, monterey jack, mozzarella, or pepper jack. We bought around 25 pounds and put it in the freezer.
I bought ingredients for the 16 year old's birthday dinner.
I bought lettuce, celery, apples, pears, snow peas, sour cream, cottage cheese, and more potatoes, all of which were on sale.
Chicken breasts (boneless) were 1.79, so I bought some of those to vary the ground beef meals.

We should be back to buying milk and eggs for the next three weeks.;-D
If the yogurt works well, I'd like to make some yogurt cheese- it's something like cream cheese in flavor and texture. In fact, I'm not sure why it's not cream cheese.

I am wondering what else to try making from scratch.

P.S. the yogurt worked, although I should have put lids on the jars.
