Forbidden Speech

Microsoft, Google, and Yahoo are cooperating in China's efforts to crack down on free speech via blogs and internet usage. Words such as "democracy", "freedom" and "human rights," are classed with profanity as 'forbidden speech.'

  1. I remember many years ago when my Dad went to the 'Soviet Union,' the paperwork on the Aeroflot plane he was on listed what was forbidden to bring into the country: pornography, and Bibles. (He obeyed the first, but grossly ignored the second. It was his only time as a smuggler.) Ideas - good, bad, and supernatural - are powerful!
