Salt the baby? When I was a baby, my cousin watched my mom putting powder on me and asked "Are you icing the baby?"
The Squirrel family have many household words that sound kind of like yours, mostly ones that came out of our toddlers' mispronunciations. "Loo" and "Lors" instead of "You" and "Yours"; "Cah-cheese" instead of "Cottage cheese."
