The Good Things of April

The 4Moms with 35+ Kids published our parenting book on Kindle (4 Moms of 35+ Kids Answer Your Parenting Questions).

That was so much fun I got the bug for further experimenting, and worked on formatting two other books for kindle:
Ten Low-Carb Snacks and Quick Meals , which I listed for only .99

and Things Mother Used to Make, which I listed for 1.99

I began working in earnest on a couple other writing projects I have previously only pursued in a desultory fashion (including one based on my Benedict's Rule of Order adapted for families series of posts)

We had some major housecleaning to do, as we are having an old fashioned hymn sing and house party this weekend.  Shasta and the Equuschick are have a cookout and karaoke party Friday.  We've been practicing a bit.  Shaasta and I are going to sing Way Over Yonder in the Minor Key, and maybe Folsum Prison Blues. He'll play the guitar himself for Minor Key.  The FYG has been practicing 'Break Your Heart,' so you can see it's going to be rather eclectic.

My husband brought home a couple boxes of books from a school library for me to sort and decide to keep, get rid of, or list for sale. I cleared out another crate of our own of similar books

The little boys came yesterday for the start of a four day weekend.

I started back on a stricter low-carb regimin on Monday.

I got caught up on laundry.

My husband, son, and son-in-law carried a cast iron claw foot bathtub out of a nasty cellar that looks like a set from a horror movie- up the narrow, poky stairs with a lower enough ceiling that Shasta and my son have to bend their heads and out the back door they had to break open so as to not to carry it over the kitchen floor of the old house, because it has a hole in the floor.

The wild geranium and trillium are blooming:

The grandbabies were adorable. The Progeny were helpful. The Most of the time.  My husband was a prince, as always.

God's mercies are many, they are new every morning.
