That last picture is EXACTLY how I had to sit to get a sliver out of the back of my heel yesterday. And I'm 34 1/2 weeks pregnant. I had to hurry lest my leg cramped and I injured myself beyond repair. (I was successful in removing the sliver...)
I used to sit like that till probably some time in my thirties but had each foot at right angles to my body with heels against the body. It was then very comfortable. That meant thighs were basically flat on the ground.
