When the AC Officer recieved a call today from a man wanting a Pointer picked up at his house around 3 pm, she cautiously inquired if it was his dog. (Scheduling a time and a place is not that unusual for strays, it is actually encouraged so that the animal is contained when the officers arrive.) Why no, said he innocently. So out she went innocently in the below zero weather at 3 pm to pick up this stray Pointer, only to have it explained to her again that no it wasn't his dog, it was his wife's. The 7 mos old puppy was no longer wanted because she "wouldn't housebreak."
It brings a new meaning to yours, mine, and ours, doesn't it?
(Wincing) Well, holding marriage in the high regard we do, we wouldn't go quite that far.
ReplyDeleteThere's also a good chance she was in agreement with getting rid of the dog she'd not housetrained. Maybe she decided housetraining was too much work. We just don't know.
Sorry, I don't see where we're allowed to dump our husbands for not liking our pets.
ReplyDeleteI assumed Janette was just using hyperbole, rather than seriously suggesting the woman take that course of action.
