E Nesbit (The Railway Children, Five Children and It, Beautiful Stories from Shakespeare, and more)- The Book of Dragons
You can get all but one or two of the books in this next series free. This is just a sampling. I find them very useful for history. The TOC is not hyperlinked. You can work around that by reading the TOC and then doing a search for the title of the chapter you want.
The Great Events by Famous Historians, Volume 05(From Charlemagne to Frederick Barbarossa)
The Great Events by Famous Historians, Volume 01
The Great Events by Famous Historians, Volume 21The Recent Days (1910-1914)
For the dog lovers:

ReplyDeleteThe E Nesbit books are also available on Librivox - I use Librivox a lot to prevent my voice wearing out with all the reading aloud I do for the kids :)
