I know the DHM recently posted an excellent update on Striderling and how far he's come, but I just stumbled across this picture tonight and it knocked the breath out of me all over again. So beautiful, so fragile, and so different these days. He still wears out a bit faster than an "average" seventeen month old, but then, he's not average, is he? He's a special treasure.

Thanks for all the congratulatory comments on our house, by the way! The house inspection is this week, so we're anxiously awaiting that. And, yes, the house size is quite a bit more than we thought we would be getting for our price range. Actually, almost everything about the house is more than we anticipated. So thankful!

Went to a community wide yard sale this past week-end and fared very well. Princess Peach has a practically complete summer and early autumn wardrobe, with most of her outfits costing somewhere between .25-$1.00. Mommy has a beaaaauutiful glider rocker and foot rest for the new house ~ cost, $20. The Striderling has a cool Little Tikes play set (slide/climbing area).... free. I'm all over free! I do so love garage sales.

Packing is going....not as quickly as I'd like. I predict a frenetic and frantic rush of activity right before we move into the house, and that Strider will have to give me smelling salts or take pity on my poor nerves once or twice before it's all done. ;)
